Chairman’s statement

Best wishes to all readers, well-wishers and advertisers on World Consumer Rights Day. It is necessary to amend the Consumer Rights Protection Act 2009 to ensure safe food and to establish a Ministry of Consumer Protection to protect consumer rights. This is because the Ministry of Commerce is responsible for implementing the Consumer Protection Act. The countrymen have already realized that trade and rights cannot be implemented together. Therefore, our demand is that as long as it is not possible to establish the Ministry of Consumer Protection, the National Department of Consumer Protection should be included in the Ministry of Social Welfare. The rights of consumers will be protected to some extent. Our expectation is that the National Department of Social Welfare will also take initiatives like the National Department of Youth Development to make the national consumer rights protection activities public. We demand that the government take the initiative to raise public awareness about this law by involving approved local voluntary organizations. We are working on consumer rights awareness and research to the best of our ability and planning. In continuation of our action plan, we extend our heartfelt greetings and congratulations to all parties on World Consumer Rights Day this year under the theme “Experience is the Step to Success”.
